Indonesia Sumatra – Lake Toba

Indonesia ranks among the top five coffee-producing countries globally, with a rich heritage of cultivation dating back to 1696 during the colonial era. The region’s unique climate and volcanic soil create ideal conditions for growing exceptional coffee.

This particular coffee is cultivated near Lake Toba, the largest volcanic lake in the world, located in North Sumatra. Grown at high elevations, the beans are processed using the traditional Giling Basah (wet hulling) method, which imparts a distinctive full body and earthy depth.

Expect a rich, heavy body with a spicy aroma and tobacco-like undertones, characteristic of the Catimor and Typica varieties.

Recommended for:

•Bold filter coffee

•Double espressos

•Milk-based espresso drinks (e.g., lattes, cappuccinos
